1. Educational Philosophy
Grounded in the values of "Taoist Education," our school adopts an integrated approach to discipline and guidance. On the discipline front, we aim to cultivate self-discipline, rule-abiding habits, and an upright character through a positive school atmosphere and clear guidelines. For student guidance, we incorporate professional school social work services. Our school social workers collaborate closely with teachers to organize school-based guidance activities, fostering a positive outlook on life and promoting well-rounded personal health and growth. We firmly believe that discipline and guidance complement each other. In a caring, supportive, and respectful environment, we not only guide students in improving their behavior and building self-worth, but also offer diverse opportunities for them to unlock their potential and grow with confidence.
2.Scope of Work
The Discipline and Guidance Team coordinates school-wide initiatives and works closely with all teachers to cater to students’ emotional, psychological, and physical needs. To nurture moral character, we set weekly discipline themes integrated into Values Education classes, combining "Taoist Education" with personal growth topics to enhance moral, civic, and life education. Meanwhile, through a positive school culture and reward system, we encourage students to strive for excellence in academics, conduct, service, and co-curricular activities. To foster self-management and a sense of responsibility, we establish the Prefect Team and the Cleanliness Patrol, encouraging students to practice self-discipline and care for the campus environment. Furthermore, recognition schemes such as the termly "Academic Improvement Award Scheme" and the annual "Model Student Election" provide tangible encouragement to inspire proactive learning and confidence.
3.The Way Forward
Moving forward, the Discipline and Guidance Team will continue to deepen character education. Beyond in-school character building, we remain dedicated to promoting parent education to strengthen home-school partnerships. By actively securing and integrating external professional resources, we aim to work hand-in-hand with all stakeholders to provide holistic support for our students' healthy development.
