Renowned race car drivers Dr. Marchy Lee (Yip Kung-ching), Mr. Marchy Lee, and Mr. Andy Yan Cheuk-wai served as star racing instructors at our school on July 15, 16, and 17, 2024.
Through the e-sports racing simulation curriculum, our school aims to introduce students to the world of motorsports. By integrating knowledge of the racing industry and engineering elements, students engage in iterative testing and vehicle tuning to gain a thorough understanding of the motorsport industry, master fundamental car setup techniques, and cultivate the persevering spirit of a professional driver.
Our school had the honor of inviting distinguished Hong Kong racing drivers Dr. Marchy Lee, Mr. Marchy Lee, and Mr. Andy Yan Cheuk-wai as star instructors. Celebrated in the racing world, these three drivers have won numerous international awards and earned acclaim overseas over the years. They visited our school specifically to guide students on exploring the motorsport industry through e-sports racing. Covering everything from racing knowledge and physical training to a driver's psychological preparation, they guided our students step-by-step along the path toward becoming a racer.
During the sessions, the star drivers shared their journey, key factors of success, and strategies for overcoming difficulties. Dr. Marchy Lee taught students cornering techniques, helping them instantly shave off over 10 seconds from their lap times. Mr. Marchy Lee encouraged students to embrace the driver's spirit of continually challenging higher-level competitions, while offering hands-on guidance on overtaking techniques during simulated races. Mr. Andy Yan Cheuk-wai brought authentic racing safety gear—from helmets to racing suits—and explained each piece in detail. He also gave a live demonstration of race car control, setting a benchmark lap record for students to challenge.
Through this programme, students experienced the thrilling atmosphere of motorsports and took their first steps toward pursuing their dreams.
